U. S. House of
Representatives passes The Bail Bond Fairness Act of 2007
The U.S. House of Representatives today affirmed the traditional
role of the bail bond agent in passing H.R. 2286, The Bail Bond
Fairness Act of 2007. Present in the House Gallery for this historic
moment were PBUS president Linda Braswell, Past President Armando
Roche and Executive Director Stephen Kreimer. Braswell later
commented: “We appreciate this vote of confidence that the House of
Representatives has in the members of our profession.” Past
President Armando Roche added that, “Nothing of this magnitude has
ever been accomplished in our profession.” President Braswell is
calling on all of our members and non-members to assist us in
securing the commitments that our profession needs in the Senate.
“The committee will be enlisting the help of every bail agent, of
every Insurance Company and everyone who has anything to do with
bail with this endeavor.”
